Men's and Women's Fall Retreat

UNITED Men's Retreat - Created to Serve@Damascus Catholic Mission Campus

November 11-12 th , 2017 - MENS SIGN UP HERE!

Talk # 1 – Created to Serve
 Focus: God Created Adam and gave him a mission of service and protection. His mission
is universally given to all men
Talk #2 - False Manhood
 Focus: Modern Culture give many false definitions of manhood. This talk will discuss
how far our culture has fallen from God’s design and desire for men. Self-Service vs.
Talk #3 – Christ, the New Man
 Focus: Christ comes as the New Adam (Man) to undo the sin of the Old Adam. Not only
that, But Christ comes to show us how to live; “the Son of Man Came not to be served,
but to serve…(Mk10:45),”
Talk #4 – Laying it All Down
 Focus: Commission and send forth with the message that we, as men, are all called to
lay our lives down for others. We can look to the examples of the two greatest Apostles,
Peter and Paul, as a testament to the uniqueness of each person’s individual vocation in
life. We all have gifts and talent that make us unique in our expression of manhood.
What unites us is the common call to be “crucified with Christ (Gal 2:20),” This means
self-sacrificial love for God, the Church, family, friends, and enemies.
